3 Low-stress Holiday Traditions to Start This Year

The holidays are stressful enough as it is, am I right? So this year I wanted to share a few traditions you could try to bring back that spirit of the holidays amidst the inevitable hustle and bustle.

Here are 3 low-stress holiday traditions to start this year:

1). The 20-Minute Tree Glow

Every night, turn off all the lights except the tree or window decor for 20 minutes. Phones down. Brains quiet. Try a puzzle, drawing or just reading a book. It’s surprisingly magical.

2). The “One Kind Thing” List

Tape a list to the fridge with tiny actions (shovel a neighbour’s walkway, tip a dollar more, text someone you miss). Cross them off as you go. Instant serotonin. Get the kids involved with this one to really dig into the meaning of Christmas and the warm-fuzzies.

3). The “Wrap as You Go” Challenge

The goal: avoid the dreaded 11 PM gift-wrapping marathon on the 24th. You deserve better.
